Porosnusantaranews,BALIKPAPAN – Menjelang pelaksanaan ibadah Misa Malam Tahun Baru 2026, Satuan Brimob Polda Kalimantan Timur bergerak sigap untuk memberikan jaminan keamanan absolut bagi masyarakat. Pada Rabu malam (31/12/2025), satu unit personel dari Detasemen Gegana dikerahkan untuk melakukan sterilisasi menyeluruh di sejumlah gereja besar di wilayah Kota Balikpapan.

Langkah preventif ini dilakukan guna memastikan area peribadatan bersih dari segala bentuk potensi ancaman benda berbahaya maupun gangguan keamanan lainnya, sehingga umat Kristiani dapat menjalankan ibadah penutup tahun dengan penuh rasa tenang dan khidmat.

Dalam pelaksanaannya, personel unit penjinak bom (Jibom) menyisir setiap sudut ruangan menggunakan peralatan deteksi berteknologi tinggi, mulai dari area altar, deretan bangku jemaat, hingga perimeter luar gedung gereja. Kabagops Satbrimob Polda Kaltim, AKP Nugroho Widihyanto, menjelaskan bahwa sterilisasi ini merupakan bagian dari prosedur standar operasional dalam pengamanan objek vital dan rumah ibadah pada hari besar.

"Kami memastikan kesiapsiagaan personel di lapangan dalam kondisi puncak. Fokus kami adalah memastikan tidak ada celah bagi gangguan kamtibmas sekecil apa pun, sehingga proses transisi menuju tahun baru berjalan aman dan terkendali di seluruh titik plotting pengamanan," ujar AKP Nugroho.

Komandan Satuan (Dansat) Brimob Polda Kaltim, Kombes Pol. Andy Rifai, menegaskan bahwa kehadiran Detasemen Gegana di gereja-gereja Balikpapan adalah manifestasi nyata dari filosofi "Bakti Brimob untuk Masyarakat". Beliau menyampaikan bahwa pengamanan ketat ini bertujuan untuk menghadirkan rasa aman bagi masyarakat di tengah euforia pergantian tahun.

"Prioritas utama kami adalah keselamatan rakyat. Dengan sterilisasi ini, kami ingin menjamin bahwa negara hadir memberikan perlindungan maksimal, agar saudara-saudara kita dapat beribadah tanpa rasa khawatir sedikit pun," tegas Kombes Pol. Andy Rifai.

Sebagai influencer keamanan dan perdamaian, Kombes Pol. Andy Rifai, juga mengajak seluruh warga Balikpapan untuk menyambut tahun baru 2026 dengan semangat persatuan dan kerukunan. Beliau mengimbau masyarakat agar terus menjaga toleransi yang telah menjadi identitas kuat di Kalimantan Timur.

"Mari kita jadikan momentum pergantian tahun ini untuk mempererat tali persaudaraan. Tetaplah waspada namun jangan cemas, karena Brimob siap siaga mengawal kedamaian Bumi Etam. Selamat menyambut fajar baru 2026 dengan hati yang damai dan penuh harapan," pungkasnya. (mto)
